Conference Venue

The EWSN Conference 2026 will take place at the Dresden University of Technology.
The Dresden University of Technology (TUD) is located in Dresden, Germany. It was founded in 1828 as a technical educational institution and is currently one of the eleven “Universities of Excellence” in Germany. Today, it is home to ≈30.000 students and more than 600 professorships.
The EWSN Conference will take place at the Andreas-Pfitzmann-Bau and the Dülfer Hall. The two venues are a 5-minute walk from each other.
Workshops and Tutorials (Day 1)
The workshops and tutorials on Wednesday will take place at the Andreas-Pfitzmann-Bau (APB). The Andreas-Pfitzmann-Bau is home to the faculty of computer science of the Dresden University of Technology. It is located at Nöthnitzer Str. 46, 01187 Dresden. It can be found using the Campus Navigator. A building map is also available.
To reach the Andreas-Pfitzmann-Bau from Dresden main station, take tram number 3 in the direction of Coschütz and get off at Münchner Platz. Get off at the front of the tram, cross the street to the left in the direction of travel, and walk up Georg-Schumann-Str. to Nöthnitzer Str. The Andreas-Pfitzmann-Bau is in front of you. The main entrance is on the left.
Main Conference (Day 2-3)
The main conference on Thursday and Friday will take place at the Dülfer Hall ("Dülfersaal"). The Dülfer Hall is located on the first floor of the "Alte Mensa" and can be accessed through the entrance at Dülferstraße 2, 01069 Dresden. See also the Campus Navigator and floor plan.
To reach the Dülfer Hall from Dresden main station, take tram number 3 in the direction of Coschütz and get off at Nürnberger Platz. Get off at the front of the tram and continue walking in the direction of travel for about 200 m. Then turn left and walk up Helmholtzstraße. Just before the Alte Mensa, turn left onto Mommsenstraße and then right onto Dülferstraße. The entrance to the Alte Mensa and Dülfer Hall will be on your right.
Conference Banquet
The conference banquet will take place at the Lingnerschloss. The Lingerschloss is one of Dresden's three Elbe Castles, located directly on the banks of the Elbe River. The address is Bautzner Str. 132, 01099 Dresden. There will be a guided tour from the conference venue (Dülfer Hall) to the Lingnerschloss via public transport.
How to reach the Venue
By Train
Take the train to Dresden main station. For both venues, take tram number 3 in front of the main entrance, as described above. From the main station to either venue, it will take you about 15 minutes.
Alternatively, you can walk directly to the Alte Mensa or the APB from the main station. The walk takes about 30 minutes. Parts of the route are slightly uphill.
By Plane
Dresden is connected via its own airport, Dresden International DRS. Alternatively, you can fly to Berlin Brandenburg Airport BER and then take a train. A train from BER to Dresden Hauptbahnhof needs ~90 minutes.
Where to stay
Around the central station there are several options, from pricy up to mid-budget options. From the central station, you can easily reach both venues by tram, as described above. Reaching the venue from these hotels takes around 20 minutes by public transport and 35 minutes on foot. Potential options are:
